Fruit tea in general

Fruit tea does not originate from the tea tree bush (camellia sinensis), does not contain theine (caffeine), and therefore does not belong into real teas. This makes it a suitable drink for people of all ages, including children. Because they do not contain theine or caffeine, fruit teas can be consumed in unlimited quantities, either as hot preparations or chilled . They can stand for 24 hours, which makes them suitable in the warm spring and summer months as a refreshing, cold “ice tea”.

Black tea – proper preparation

Water temperature:
After boiling in the kettle, the water reaches a temperature of 100°C.

Amount of black tea:
– 1 teaspoon of black tea is added to 2.5 dcl of water
– 1 tablespoon of black tea is added to 1 liter of water.

Keeping black tea in water:
Black tea is kept covered in water/strainer for 2-5 minutes, and then strained. During these few minutes, antioxidants (catechins) come to the surface and have a better effect on the body when the tea is drunk.

Although it is tasty without additives, you can add a drop or two of milk and a little sugar to black tea preferably brown. This is one of those teas that, as a rule, is not drunk with lemon and honey.

Black teas and their average price in the Split Tea House is around HRK 50 per 100 grams, which is enough for black tea consumption for approximately 19 days/1L per day.

Black tea comes from the same tea bush as green and oolong teas, but due to different processing method, black and oolong teas lose their natural green color and become brownish-black. Rooibos tea and time of day for consuming the daily dose

Considering that there is no theine (caffeine), rooibos tea can be consumed throughout the day in larger quantities up to 1L 2L, and even more. Suitable for all age groups, from pregnant/nursing women to athletes.

Rooibos tea – proper preparation

In order to achieve optimal organoleptic pleasure, the correct preparation of rooibos tea should be observed, according to a special procedure where the most important ratio is the tea and water:

Water temperature:

Rooibos tea has gained fame due to its beneficial and invigorating effect on the human body.
Rooibos tea is the best tea for strengthening the body’s immunity, i.e. for better immunity and blood counts, and against flu / colds / viruses (especially in combination with the mixture “Tea for respiratory tracts” from Split Tea House).

Its popular name rooibos was given the “mother’s miracle” because it stimulates the work of the mammary glands for nursing mothers / young mothers and eliminates even the most severe forms of spasms / colic for babies (especially in combination with fennel).

Rooibos tea – a healthy and natural “energy drink” full of vitamins (predominantly vitamin C) and minerals (iron, potassium, sodium, calcium, copper, zinc , magnesium, fluorine, manganese), of which iron predominates. Recharge your “batteries” and recover lost energy, both at work and in your private life!
It is an ideal drink for spring and summer – a real summer refreshment and healthy and cold “Ice tea” – iced tea.

Its most valued feature is that it is gentle on the stomach and excellent for stimulating digestion. It is absolutely free of theine (caffeine) and is therefore suitable for all population groups, especially for pregnant women against nausea and for nursing mothers related to the calming of indigestion in babies (spasms / colic).

Oolong tea and time of day for consumption

The daily dose of oolong tea is around 3-4 cups. Given that it contains theine (caffeine), the amounts may vary from person to person, but for a more pronounced effect it is necessary to drink 1L of tea a day.

Oolong tea, unlike green and yellow tea, oxidizes much more slowly, so it can also be used in summer as “Ice Tea”, 4-6 hours after preparation. The best time to consume this specialty is in the morning, during the day, that is, before and during physical and mental activities.

Oolong (wulong / wu-long) tea – proper preparation

Water temperature:
After boiling in the kettle, the water is allowed to cool for about 2-4 minutes to reach the optimal temperature between 85-95 °C.

Amount of oolong tea:
– add 1 teaspoon of oolong tea to 2.5–3 dcl of water
– add 1 tablespoon of oolong tea to 1 liter of water.< br />
Keeping oolong tea in water:
The tea is kept in water/strainer covered between 2-4 minutes, and then strained. During these few minutes, antioxidants (catechins) come to the surface and have a better effect on the body when the tea is drunk. “>Oolong tea should not be drunk with sugar (sweetened) as this reduces its effectiveness.
