  1. Water temperature:
    After boiling in the kettle, the water is allowed to cool for about 5 minutes to reach the optimal temperature between 70-80 °C.
  2. Amount of green tea:
    – 1 teaspoon of green tea is added to 2.5–3 dcl of water
    – 1 tablespoon of green tea is added to 1 liter of water.

– add 1 teaspoon of rooibos to 2.5–3 dcl of water
– add 1 tablespoon of rooibos to 1 liter of water.

Black tea comes from the same tea bush as green and oolong teas, but due to different processing method, black and oolong teas lose their natural green color and become brownish-black. Yellow tea – proper preparation

Water temperature:
After boiling in the teapot, the water is allowed to cool down around 5 minutes to reach the optimal temperature between 70-80 °C.

Amount of yellow tea:
– put 1 teaspoon of yellow tea on 2.5 dcl of water
– 1 tablespoon of yellow tea is added to 1 liter of water.

Keeping yellow tea in water:
Yellow tea is kept covered in water/strainer for between 2-3 minutes and then strained. During these few minutes, antioxidants (catechins) come to the surface and have a better effect on the body when the tea is drunk.

Yellow tea should not be drunk with sugar (sweetened) because in this way its effectiveness is reduced. If you really have to sweeten it, add honey or palm sugar, some kind of brown sugar or pure maple syrup to the tea.

Yellow tea and weight loss

Fruit tea in general

Fruit tea does not originate from the tea tree bush (camellia sinensis), does not contain theine (caffeine), and therefore does not belong into real teas. This makes it a suitable drink for people of all ages, including children. Because they do not contain theine or caffeine, fruit teas can be consumed in unlimited quantities, either as hot preparations or chilled . They can stand for 24 hours, which makes them suitable in the warm spring and summer months as a refreshing, cold “ice tea”.
