Black tea comes from the same tea bush as green and oolong teas, but due to different processing method, black and oolong teas lose their natural green color and become brownish-black. In Chinese culture, black tea is also known as “crimson”, and in our country it is best known as “Indian black tea”. categorylayout=0&Itemid=711″>Black teas are known for their distinctive aroma as they contain almost the most tein (caffeine) of all teas and are a healthy substitute for coffee.

Black tea is characterized by the strongest aroma and almost the highest concentration of theine (caffeine). of all teas. Although many do not know it, the beneficial effects of black tea and its positive effects on health are numerous. It turned out that black tea:

  • primarily has an antiviral / antibacterial effect (raises the body’s immunity/resistance)
  • relieves the symptoms of inflammatory bowel diseases
  • protects against the development of Parkinson’s disease
  • reduces the intensity of possible headaches
  • slows the onset of diabetes
  • increases physical endurance

Black tea – proper preparation

Water temperature:
After boiling in the kettle, the water reaches a temperature of 100°C.

Amount of black tea:
– 1 teaspoon of black tea is added to 2.5 dcl of water
– 1 tablespoon of black tea is added to 1 liter of water.

Keeping black tea in water:
Black tea is kept covered in water/strainer for 2-5 minutes, and then strained. During these few minutes, antioxidants (catechins) come to the surface and have a better effect on the body when the tea is drunk.

Although it is tasty without additives, you can add a drop or two of milk and a little sugar to black tea preferably brown. This is one of those teas that, as a rule, is not drunk with lemon and honey.

Black teas and their average price in the Split Tea House is around HRK 50 per 100 grams, which is enough for black tea consumption for approximately 19 days/1L per day.
